William 'Billy' Kaplan is a mutant, with reality altering abilities. He's the eldest of three children born to Reform Jews Jeff Kaplan (a cardiologist) and Rebecca Kaplan (a psychologist.) Billy was routinely bullied at school and, following a chance meeting with the Scarlet Witch, his powers first manifested through a fight with John Kesler - resulting in him almost killing the other boy. He was approached by Iron Lad, through the Avenger's Failsafe Program, to join his team of Young Avengers. He became the superhero Asgardian, styling himself after Thor, but later changed his alias to Wiccan. It was through his team that he made some of his closest friends, and learned more about himself and his true origins. [More at the Marvel Wikia.]
